Definitely official, even if Sandwich will not admit it. He has an attachment for Thea. At the evening meal and campfire meeting I caught him dividing his plate in half and giving Thea the the half he separated. He then ate half of his portion and feed Kenny the other half. I plan to say something to him, I'll offer to feed Kenny half my food share if he insist on giving Thea half of his food share. I am amazed how he treats Thea, almost like our mother, or us girls. He also seems to intend to stay with this group for now. He has agreed to head up the "hunting and gathering" committee, and explicitly asked I be on it, not that I mind, but it seems he intends for me to stay with the group. Not that I mind, after all the ranch is in good hands with father.
We have set up in the small barn, myself and Sandwich taking two hammocks and setting a cot up for Thea. We also managed to find a twenty-four inch steel round lattice fire pit with a spark screen and fire poker. Sandwich managed to already have cleared out a good area for us to sleep, and he and I managed to Macgyverize a good spot for the fireplace with good ventilation. Sandwich states he will make a request for some reflective tin next supply run to surround our shared sleeping area. Good thing about the close and cozy shared sleeping area is I can get to know Thea better, and perhaps the relationship dynamics between her and Sandwich, after all if she is to become my sister-in-law I want to get to know her and let her in on our family. Well off to get some sleep, early morning for me, trotlines and snare lines to set.
