The scavenging group's vehicle's rumbled up on the remnants of chaos that had swamped the Cabin.

Serena all but dove from the Toyota as she stared at the destruction and the other making sure the undead were dead. "What happened?" She gasped out.

TJ jumped out of the vehicle he and Josh were in. His gun up and ready as his eyes scanned the area for Kelly. Saying a silent prayer, she was alright as he did.

Kelly was one of the first out to greet TJ, she'd been more worried about him being out scavenging than herself. "TJ!" she kept her voice down just incase of further dead stragglers in the area.

TJ saw and heard Kelly as she came into view and over to him. "Kelly!" He whispered happily. "I was so worried about you! Are you alright?" he asked as he wrapped an arm around her and brought her close and saying a silent prayer she was alright.

As soon as the truck stopped, Timothy was put, his rifle up as he scanned the area for any danger. "Babe!" He called out to Serena, "check on the baby!"

Before she could, Kimberley came out with PJ in her arms. "Safe" she announced.

Serena looked around . "Where's Hale?" She asked as she took her son.

Kimberley shook her head. "We don't know. He was gone, and we lost Lydia.." she motioned towards a body near the barn.

Chloe climbed out. "Grandpere?!" She called out. "Rene?!?"

No response. The teen looked around urgently.

“They’re not here either” Vienna answered Chloe. “They were gone too, probably with Hale.”

Two figures came out of hiding. It was Thea and Roman. "They are gone. I don't know where. Then the undead came and it was chaos. People screaming, running trying to fight or hide. Hoping you all would get back."

“Roman was good enough to put my mind at rest” Thea offered a warm smile. “I guess this means we won’t be able to stay here long term now?”

Roman offered a bashful smile at Thea's words. "Just trying to do my part and help out where I can." He smiled at Thea.

Serena stood silent as they surveyed the now damaged work the others had been working on prior to the attack. She took a shaky breath. “We need to pack. Everything we can into the vehicles. Someone will have to drive Lydia’s van, it has fuel we need and plenty of room.” She looked around. “Does anyone disagree?”

Before they could speak there was the sound of a vehicle heading their way. It was low and slowly moving.

TJ was about to speak when the sound of vehicle moving slowly was coming towards them. He was instantly on alert, his weapon raised.

Vienna grabbed her bow, ready to use it if she had to.

Tj remained alert as the sound of the vehicle moved slowly came closer.

A few moments later, an old station wagon pulled up, and a teenaged boy stepped out. "Mister Hale?" He called out softly to the group, his eyes landing on Timothy and he seemed to relax some. "Mister Reynolds! Someone just came to our Grandparents home, stole a bunch of our stuff and took our Granny and Grampy!"

Seeing who was behind the wheel, Timothy signalled to the group to stand down. He hurried over to Jack, quickly checking him over, before looking quickly into the vehicle, seeing both Carmen and Myles. "Are any of you hurt?" He asked cautiously.

Jack shook his head. "No, Sir. Grampy had us hide in the barn when the truck started up the drive. Who ever it was shot our dogs with tranquilizer darts." He turned to glance at the rear of the station wagon. "We've got them in the back. They're still out."

Serena who had been watching came up beside Timothy. "Neighbours?" She asked softly. She was considering things. "Tim?" She said. "The farm would be safer for all." she whispered.

TJ listened in silence to what had happened. Then he spoke, "This site is compromised. We need to find another site." He paused and added, "I can drive Lydia's van."

Timothy looked over at his wife and nodded. "These are the grandchildren of Hale's neighbors. They drove here, by themselves, from the east coast. They just arrived a few days ago." He turned back to Jack. "Jack, this is my wife, Serena. Until we find your grandparents, you three can stay with our group."

Jack looked first to Serena, nodding to her, then back at Timothy. "Thank you, Sir. We've loaded everything we could into the back of the wagon."

Timothy nodded in understanding. "Pull her around to the side over here," he pointed to where the other cars were parked. "We will help you unload and get resettled." He then looked over at TJ. "The weather is coming in fast. For at least this winter, it would be best to stay here. Everyone needs to step up, so we can ensure the perimeter is secure. Once the winter ends, we will break camp and relocate."

TJ nodded, "Understood and I agree sir. You can count on Kelly and myself to help in every way possible. I'll go out and check the perimeter and get some sort of early warning system up."

Selena shook her head. "Wait!" She said interrupting. "We cannot stay here Tim its not going to work." She looked at the three children. "Is your farm house still standing?"

Carmen nodded. "Yes and the barn and such. Why?"

Serena looked at the group and then back at Jack, Carmen and Myles, "Would it be ok if we all moved over to your grandparents place? For the winter? We can make it secure much more easily than this place and help try and find out what happened to them."

Jack looked at his sister and brother, then back at Serena. "But...what if that group of raiders return?"

Serena smiled. "We will defend you and your home." She said softly. "Tim,TJ here, they have military experience. And I do not see why you should have to run."

TJ stood silently, his eyes keeping a sharp outlook for any intruders alive or undead. He was ready to protect the group.

Jack turned and spoke softly to Carmen. Though he was the oldest, he still felt it was a decision they both should make. "What do you think, Car?"

Carmen considered it. She was silent for a moment. "Okay." She said softly. "We have room to house them Jack. And the barn and such can house the vehicles and supplies and with the fact that the house is self sufficient..." she looked at Serena and Tim. "Everyone will contribute. But we get a say on who comes in."

Serena nodded. "Of course."

Jack nodded. "Okay then. We should move as much as we can now. The rest we could easily come back for?" He said questioningly to the adults.

Timothy nodded. "It's a good idea." He turned back to the group. "Everyone, start packing everything you can. We will roll out in three hours."

TJ nodded in silent agreement and looked over to Kelly. "Where and what do we need to start with first Kelly?"

“Let’s get what we need from our tent, pack light. Take what essentials we need. If there’s room left we can take whatever is left over.” Kelly offered.

TJ nodded, "Okay, that sounds doable." He grinned at Kelly. "Might has well get started. Stuff won't pack itself as much as I wish it could."

"PAck whatever you can in Lydia's Van, it has extra room" Serena said as she looked at Josh and Timothy. "Tim? You and Josh head over with the kids, Get it secure while we can."

Timothy didn't like the idea of splitting up, but he couldn't see the merits in what his wife had said to him. "Alright, but you all be careful. Any sign of trouble, and you fire three rounds. That way, we can haul ass back here to help."

Serena nodded. "Go we will be right behind you. And keep an eye out."

Carmen climbed back into the car with Myles.

There had been a lot of commotion though everyone was doing so quietly and efficiently. Alonzo Blazevic had left a while back, Hale had gone looking for him, but it was only Alonzo that came back, and it looked as through he had done so just in time.

He raised his hands above his head, holding his gun in a non threatening manner as he approached. "Don't shoot. It's just me" he said sternly. "Where's Serena?" he asked looking for the woman.

“She’s here don’t worry” Vienna offered a brief smile and motioned inside.

Serena came around from behind a car. "Alzonzo!" She said with relief. But her gaze swept behind him and her eyes frowned. "Are you ok?" She asked him.

Alonzo was glad to see she was okay. He pulled the piece of paper from his back pocket. "They are fine, safe" he said referring to Hale and Ethan. He handed the paper over to her.

"He wanted me to give you this. It should explain everything, but Hale is leaving. We're leaving, together. I can't let the two of them go off on their own, and this group is safe under your leadership."

Her mouth opened and then closed. "Alonzo...." she got out. She swallowed getting the impression that it was best not to argue. "You will need supplies."

It took some time but soon, those who were leaving had headed off, and the rest made their way to their new base, the homestead of the Blaines.
